I think anyone who has ever met me knows that I am obsessed with The Bachelor franchise. That being said, I would never want to go on the show, however, I would totally be the best dressed if I did.
The sad thing about competing on this show is that only the lead has access to a stylist, meaning that all contestants have to bring all their own clothing. I know this may come as a shock, but I personally, do not own that many evening gowns, and neither do most of these women. That being said, previous Bachelor contestants have reported spending thousands of dollars for the clothing for the show. According to Cosmopolitan, there are many other rules regarding clothing that the contestants have to follow including;
Night one dresses must be approved by a producer (so if two women are in the same dress it's all for the drama)
No patterns
No solid white
You must bring 14 dresses for the rose ceremonies (this sucks if you go home night one!)
You need clothing for both warm and cold climates, athletic wear, swimsuits, sneakers, heels, coats, casual dresses, cocktail dresses, and as mentioned before all the evening gowns (btw, this all has to fit in three suitcases)
Bring enough makeup for the entire 'journey" because you won't be allowed to buy more
Oh, and you have to do your own hair and makeup
For the purposes of this post, I'm only going to do a few outfits, and not everything I would have in all three suitcases. As I mentioned, I don't have enough evening gowns for that.
Night One
Supposedly the producers slick down the driveway leading up to the mansion to make it glisten more and look even more romantic. This means the best thing to wear is a sequin gown, as sequins do not get damaged by water. They also cover any tears that could happen during a long night of filming. This rose gold sequin gown would totally capture the Bachelor's attention, and, who knows, maybe even earn the first impression rose.
Active Wear
There's always at least one active date that I would definitely dread as a contestant, but at least I would look cute in this baby blue Fabletics set. Seriously though, I would hope this outfit would make the Bachelor look past my lack of athletic ability.
Casual Group Date
You never know what a group date is going to entail. All I know is that I would look amazing on it! This blue bustier is super flattering and gives off fairy tale energy which the producers would love. The jeans dress it down a bit and makes it the perfect outfit for any casual date.
Group Date After Party
There are many options you could have for the group date after party. I would want to look sleek and have all of Twitter obsessing over my outfit which is why this red jumpsuit is the obvious choice.
One-on-One Day Portion
It's time to show the Bachelor that I'm here "for the right reasons". The first step in doing so is to wear a chic 'fit. A two-piece set always looks so fashionable and put together.
One-on-One Evening Portion
There are two goals on the evening portion of a one-on-one. The first is to secure the rose (You gotta make it to next week!) The second is to leave him thinking about you and only you (it is a competition after all!) I think this outfit will do just that!
Final Rose
Looking like the final rose ensures I would get it! Right? But seriously, this red off the shoulder dress has a gorgeous silhouette and a dramatic slit. I could totally imagine getting proposed to in this gown!
Well there you have my Bachelor wardrobe. It's chic, fabulous, and, of course, #extra! Now back to watching as a dedicated member of Bachelor Nation!
XOXO,
Kristin
