What I Would Wear For St. Patrick's Day If...

Let's pretend this photo wasn't posted on Instagram months ago.

So, another St. Patrick's Day is here, and once again I have no plans, but at least now the pandemic makes a great excuse to not go out (because we seriously just shouldn't). The fact that I have nothing other than work on the agenda for the day hasn't stopped me from thinking about what I would be wearing if I had plans. So, I present to you, outfits I would be wearing in these fictional scenarios.

Dinner in a Nicer Irish Restaurant

Don't be surprised if I own this outfit after that stimulus hits

I always love getting dinner and drinks with friends and find holidays the perfect time to do so. If I was in NYC, I would love to dine a St Dymphas for St Patrick's day. The Irish pub is a fun spot for traditional Irish dishes and drinks. I can imagine my friends and I dining on fish and chips and drinking cocktails. I love to dress-up a little for dinner so I would wear a two-piece green blazer set with gold jewelry and cute heels!

Pub Crawling with Friends

Pub crawling is what most people seem to do on St Patrick's day, and in a normal year this seems like fun! The ideal would be to do this in Ireland but could easily be a good time in any city. When I go out to bars, even if it's casual, I want to be the best dressed person in the room, so I would skip out on the "Kiss Me I'm Irish" tee and opt for a green crop top and jeans. I love this top because the tie front and ruffle makes it both girly and flirty. For comfort, I would probably pair it with cute sandals, and simple gold jewelry.

Hosting a Party

Some may say this is overdressing. I say it's just dressed enough!

I love planning and hosting events especially for holidays. I also love any excuse to dress-up. I could imagine myself hosting a glamourous St Patrick's day party where everyone dresses in their best green suits, cocktail dresses, and gowns. I could imagine hosting this event in a trendy lounge with fun Guinness and Bailey's Irish Crème cocktails and appetizers that are twists on traditional Irish cuisine. I would wear a chic green cocktail dress like the one pictured above, with gold statement earrings, and fabulous gold stilettoes. A look that would be almost as fabulous as a pot of gold!

In a IG Photoshoot

Seriously, this outfit was made for Instagram feeds

Yes, I'm one of those girls who will dress-up just for the 'gram. In my dream St. Patrick's Day photoshoot, I would be wearing this satin crop top and skirt, standing on a green hill in Ireland maybe even with a four-leaf clover in hand and a castle in the background. I would accessorize with simple gold jewelry, and cute gold heels. I also might make a bonus Reel just to show off the 'fit even more!

Staying at Home and Watching Luck of the Irish

The perfect outfit for the ideal St. Patrick's Day!

Name a better way to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. You can't. Luck of the Irish is an iconic Disney Channel Original movie, and is the perfect film to watch on this holiday. It could also be the perfect start to a St. Patrick's Day Movie Marathon. Which would also include P.S. I Love for a good cry and Leap Year for a cute rom-com. The perfect way to dress for this Irish themed movie night is in a comfy and cute, green loungewear set. I would complete the look with cozy St. Patty's themed socks and a messy bun. Because for any movie night, comfort is key.

For this St. Patrick's Day, I will probably be, you guessed it, watching the Luck of the Irish in a green loungewear set. I hope to be spending future St. Patrick's Days in a more #Extra fashion, but for now I'm happy watching a movie in sweats. I hope everyone enjoys their St. Patrick's Day, and let this post be your reminder to wear green. After all, you don't want to get pinched!

XOXO,

Kristin
