The Oscars '22 Best Dressed List

So once again, the Oscars have come and gone, and I did my usual routine of not watching the show, but instead scrolling tirelessly through my Instagram feed to see all of the outfits. It's truly much more entertaining than the award show itself, and to be quite honest I could care less about what movies paid their way to the top awards, but I do care about what the stars are wearing.

I've decided to award my favorite looks from the night. Now, of course, this is all my personal opinion and as a whole the fashion this year was top notch, so narrowing it down to just a few was tough. If I'm missing any of your favorite looks feel free to comment below!

The Award For "The Outfit is Probably Considered Boring, But This Human Can Do No Wrong" Goes to Andrew Garfield

Like always... he looks so good!

Look the black on black look... we've seen it so many times, but when Andrew Garfield does it and in Saint Laurent, it's simply perfection. I would like to say that there is some fashionable reason for this, but ultimately it's purely because my crush on him from 2012 has resurfaced, and he could have worn a potato sack and I would have thought he looked great. I will also not be able to get over him getting robbed of "Best Actor" by the dramatic Will Smith. (Especially after that slap in the face heard 'round the world.)

The Award For "The Most Sweet and Sexy" Goes to Lily James

Slayed. Literally slayed.

This Versace dress was absolutely perfect for Lily James as it felt like it was Cinderella meets Pamela Anderson. The lace gives it both a classic and sweet feel while the high slit adds just a touch of sexiness that makes a nearly perfect dress. Plus I'm always here for a classic blush pink dress.

The Award For "The Best LBD" Goes to Vanessa Hudgens

Honestly iconic.

Sure, we saw plenty of black dresses hit the red carpet for the Academy Awards this year, but Vanessa Hudgens' Michael Kors dress was my favorite by far. The sequins and the cutouts made a perfectly chic combination. She managed to look classic but also wow the crowd.

The Award For "Disney Princesses Wish They Could" Goes to Demi Singleton

Purple is the color of royalty after all.

Honestly one of my favorite looks from the evening was Demi Singleton in this Mui Mui. The straight line, strapless silhouette was elegant. The rhinestone details made it both more glamorous and fun. What I loved most is that at only 15 years old, she looked age appropriate, but still had a dress that stood out in the crowd. Seriously, the Disney princesses wish they looked that good!

The Award For "The Most Red Hot 'Fit" Goes to Ariana DeBose

Important question... where do I find a dupe of this 'fit?

This is simply how pants need to be worn on the red carpet. This two piece set from Valentino was chic, and the cape added that drama that we look for in an Oscars look. The red color was daring, bold and perfect for this Best Supporting Actress Winner!

The Award For "The Most Classic and Elegant Oscar 'Fit" Goes to Nicole Kidman

Seriously she always looks stunning.

Nicole Kidman has been the queen of red carpets for so long and the reason is simple. She knows how to pull off a classic look with a bit of a twist. Everything about this Armani Privé dress was perfect for the red carpet. The color perfectly complemented her skin tone, the shilouette was elegant, and the poofy detail in the middle added the dramatic twist that we expect from Kidman on the red carpet. What makes this dress even better is knowing that Kidman worked with the brand to design this gown, creating a look perfectly tailored to her taste.

The Award for "The Most Dressed Up and Down" Goes to Timothy Chalamet

Here for this rock star energy.

When it comes to men's fashion. Timothy Chalamet is at the top of the best dressed list. He does what many don't and takes fashionable risks. This look from Louis Vuitton was definitely that and it paid off. Chalamet daringly skipped wearing a shirt, but wore an embellished jacket and black dress pants. All accessorized with a just a simple silver chain. It's the kind of look we never see, but want to see more of.

The Award For "The Absolutely Best Dressed, Zero Contest" Goes to Zendaya

The reigning queen of the red carpet.

Everyone else take notes. This is what we want to see on red carpets. Zendaya wore a cropped white blouse with a long, sequin silver skirt, and platform heels all from Valentino. The look was accessorized with Bulgari bracelets. To make this look even better, she even did her own makeup, nailing the perfect natural glam look. It was the perfect showstopping look, and the moment she stepped on the carpet anyone else having a chance of being best dressed was simply over. Although, with her stylist Law Roach on her side, this will pretty much always be the case.

So there you have my favorite looks and my awards for the Oscars. Stay tuned for the rest of awards season as I award more fabulous fashion.

XOXO,

Kristin
