The Fairest of Them All

Don’t worry no poison apples were included in the creation of this post.

I wonder what it’s like to be deemed the fairest of them all. I guess that’s something Snow White would be the only one to understand. Obviously, it was deserving as she was beautiful and kind-hearted, and I was hoping to channel that energy when I recreated her looks. I’m not going to lie though, this was a challenging one as she only has like two outfits in the movie. However, she has a bold color scheme of royal blue, red, and yellow that I was excited to play around with. My only hope is that the end of this I would have a magic mirror to tell me that I nailed it.

Snow White's Beauty Look

Snow White would totally have hopped on that curtain bang trend.

Snow White strikes me as someone who would be fashion-forward with her looks, but without even trying. This being said, when it came to her beauty look, I wanted to keep it somewhat natural with just a hint of shimmer. For this look;

  • I started with the lashes (as usual). I applied Kiss Lash Couture lashes in Little Black Dress to each eye.

  • Then, I filled in my eyebrows,

  • After, I used Chip, a neutral, from the It's a Princess Thing Eyeshadow Palette as my base shade.

  • From there, I used Triton, a brown shade, for my creases.

  • I used Prince Charming, a sparkling white shade, to highlight my inner corner and brow bone.

  • After finishing my eyes, I applied foundation and concealer.

  • I used blush underneath my cheekbones as contour.

  • Then, I highlighted my cheekbones, nose, and chin.

  • I finished my makeup with a classic, Rouge Dior 999, as the first ever Disney Princess deserves the most classic red lipstick shade. Obviously, she could pull it off too.

Because I can imagine Snow White as setting beauty trends, I can imagine her having curtain bangs before anyone else. Personally, I don't like to follow the pack, so I faked curtain bangs using a headband. The rest of my hair I wanted to keep sleek and straight because that's how it usually falls naturally.

The Accessories

As red is the more subtle color in her signature look, I thought it would be the perfect added touch when it came to my choice of accessories. Which Included

  • Red pumps with a bow back detailing

  • A red knotted headband

  • A rhinestone Kendra Scott necklace

  • And a pair of dangling rhinestone earrings

Turning her Signature Look into a Cute Two-Piece Combo

This would be her Instagram profile photo for sure!

Snow White might have one of the boldest signature looks of all the Disney Princesses due to the colors being, well, also bold. Her dress has blue puff sleeves with red details on top and a yellow bottom. I thought a 2021 Snow White would effortlessly rock a few influencer trends, so I wore a blue off-the-shoulder crop top and a yellow satin skirt. Of course, our princess wouldn't even realize these are trends. She would just always look this stylish.

Wishing by the Well

I'm wishing that I could look this stylish everyday.

When Snow White is wishing on the wishing well, she is literally dressed in rags, but somehow still looks amazing. Now, I refuse to ever be in rags, but knew I needed to keep it simple, so I went with a tan, button-up slip dress. While the dress is simple, I still felt fab, and like I could go after anything I wished for.

Channeling the Poison Apple

If you’re gonna take a bite out of a poison apple, you might as well look great while doing so!

Since Snow White only has two outfits, I decided to channel the poison apple. I believe the perfect way to do so was with this chic red jumpsuit. It still has a bit of a princess energy with ruffled straps, but the sassy open back shows it's ready for the kill.

Awaking From True Love’s Kiss

She would for sure win the prince’s heart in this flirty dress!

Granted what Snow White was wearing before her life saving kiss was out of her control, but I still imagine she would like to look amazing. I went with this royal blue maxi dress because of its feminine details. The cut-outs make it a bit flirtier as well, and I know any Prince would be ready for happily ever after, after rescuing a princess in this dress.

Snow White was the fairest of them all for both her outer beauty and inner beauty, and that's what I really wanted to channel. While it's hard to do that with just a few outfits and some posed photos, I believe that clothing i just an extension of personality. It's a way to show what you're feeling inside. Now, I'm going to run off and say some affirmations in my mirror since I don't have a magic one to do so for me!

XOXO,

Kristin
