#Extra Last Minute Halloween Costumes: Holly Golightly

*cue "Moon River"

So life has been a bit busy, and I haven't gotten around to getting a Halloween costume. However, I realized with a wardrobe as extensive as mine (shoutout to my shopping addiction!) I should be able to come up with plenty of costumes without having to spend a dollar. So every day leading up to Halloween I'm going to present #Extra costumes that are easy throw together at the last minute. First one in my list, my glamourous queen Holly Golightly.

Holly Golightly has so many amazing outfits in Breakfast at Tiffany's, and though they are custom Givenchy, they are really easy to recreate with clothes found in your closet! Below, I have given steps to recreate my favorite ones!

The Most Glamourous Pajamas

No mean reds found here.

This outfit is so glamorous and so simple to throw together! It will for sure have you saying, "I'm just crazy about Tiffany's!"

The 'Fit

  • White Button-Up Top

  • Black Shorts (not necessary if your top is long enough, but mine was not)

  • Tiffany Blue and Gold Eye Mask

  • Purple Tassel Earrings

Completing the Look

  • A Natural Glam Eyeshadow Look (Think neutrals with some shimmer)

  • False Eyelashes or Lots of Mascara

  • An Eyebrow Pencil for Filled in Eyebrows

  • Highlight to Add a Touch of Glam

  • Pink In The Afternoon Lipstick by Revlon (It's the same one she wears in the movie!)

  • Hair Half Up Half Down (I did mine with a French Twist to add volume and elegance)

Bonus: If you have a toy cat you can carry around then you've truly nailed it!

The Iconic LBD Moment

Looking into Tiffany's like...

An LBD is always a great choice, and I'll make any excuse to wear a tiara, so this costume choice is perfect for me. Now if you'll excuse me, I'll be finding a Tiffany & Co window to stare into.

The 'Fit

  • A Little Black Dress

  • Black Pumps

  • A Tiara

  • Sunglasses

  • Rhinestone Earrings

  • Pearl Necklace

  • Rhinestone Broach

Completing the Look

Look, I did the same makeup as before, so, yes, I hit copy and paste for the first part.

  • A Natural Glam Eyeshadow Look (Think neutrals with some shimmer)

  • False Eyelashes or Lots of Mascara

  • An Eyebrow Pencil for Filled in Eyebrows

  • Highlight to Add a Touch of Glam

  • Pink In The Afternoon Lipstick (It's the same one she wears in the movie!)

  • Hair in an Up-do (I did a bun, but she wears a French twist with a beehive in the movie)

Bonus: To really channel that opening scene carry a long cigarette holder, wear black gloves, and a Starbucks cup should be in hand!

XOXO,

Kristin
