Christian Siriano's F/W '21 Runway Show is What Dreams are Made of!

This is what one would call beauty rest.

I interrupt my usual Fashion Month schedule with a quick, virtual trip back to the Big Apple for the Christian Siriano Fall/ Winter '21 Ready-to-Wear Presentation!

After winning Project Runway in 2008, Christian Siriano quickly became one of the show's biggest success stories, dressing one celebrity after the next for countless red-carpet moments. Since the launch of his label, he has produced beautiful collections, each one more stunning than the previous. He is one of my favorite designers, and I look forward to seeing his collection each season. I was disappointed when I didn't see his name on the initial line-up for NYFW but was ecstatic when I found out that he was presenting just a few days outside the schedule. Obviously, this was a show not to be missed, and I was excited to watch virtually!

Siriano safely pulled off one of the only in-person fashion shows for the entire season with required COVID testing and socially distant seating. As seating was limited the show was streamed live on Instagram as well, meaning those of us who were not VIP's could still watch front row from just about anywhere. Because of his presentation being one of the only in-person ones for the entire season, Siriano had to make it worth the attendance, and as expected he put on a beautiful production.

A true queen.

The show opened with four models, including his model muse Coco Rocha, resting on air mattresses in black undergarments. One by one, the models awoke from their beauty sleep to put of fabulous outerwear pieces. From there models began to strut down Gotham Hall showing off one stunning piece after the next.

I need this in my closet ASAP.

This collection seemed to include it all; bright colors, neutrals, ruffles, lace, fun patterns, and most importantly the unique, but elegant structure that Christian Siriano is known for. According to Vogue Runway, these bold pieces came from an idea of "a psychedelic alternate reality", a world where we can all dress-up each day. You know, as opposed to the leggings or sweatpants you probably have on while reading this post.

This dress would look amazing in any reality!

Siriano apparently dreamed up this collection in Aspen, Colorado and what he imagined the women of his alternate reality would be wearing to various, glamourous events there. Each piece had a taste of drama while having a connection to nature. I, for one, don't have to be in alternate world to imagine myself wearing the pieces from this collection. (I do have to be in an alternate world to afford them though.) Who knows, maybe in a year from now, I'll be able to rock a knock off at a Fashion Week party!

Seriously, love.

The show, of course, closed with his muse Rocha walking down the runway in a stunning black dress. The dress having a signature heart shaped bottom that Siriano became known for in a piece created for Janelle Monet. Being the stunning performer that she is Rocha showed off the dress like no one else could and ended the show with a most fabulous bang!

While these pieces were created with an alternate reality in mind, they made me want to dress-up! For now, that dressing-up still has to be in the comfort of my own home, but Siriano's show has me looking forward to the day where I can dress-up to go-out again. In the meantime, I'll be catching up on my beauty sleep, and dreaming of owning the pieces in this stunning collection!
