Book Club: One To Watch

Bachelor Nation, I have found your new addiction. (Especially, if you're over all the size 0 influencers that they cast on their shows.)

I don't know about you, but I am obsessed with the Bachelor franchise. I love the unnecessary drama, the producers' comedic editing, and, of course, the suspense of who the lead is going to choose and more than likely break up with before the live Final Rose even airs. I just can't get enough which is what lead me to reading One to Watch by Katie Stayman-London.

One to Watch follows Bea Schumacher, an amazingly stylish, plus-sized fashion blogger, as she unexpectedly takes on the leading role of the reality dating show Main Squeeze (a.k.a The Bachelorette). As expected, her season has mixed reviews from the start, and is full of all the drama you would expect on any dating show.

What this book has, and what these shows can so often lack, is a lot of heart. We see many of the characters struggle with all different kinds of insecurities, and many of them choosing to be vulnerable with Bea. While the book makes many important statements, I think the most important one is that we are all worthy of love regardless of our clothing size.
