5 Lipsticks I'm Wearing Post 'Rona

Please pretend you didn't see this on Instagram first.

Now that the mask mandate is lifted, and I'm fully vaccinated, I'm back to wearing lipstick daily, and I'm absolutely loving it. It's so nice to wear lipstick in public again without having to hide it under my mask and worry about it smearing underneath. Since I'm loving it so much, I thought I would share my top five lipsticks at the moment.

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Pink in the Afternoon

And please pretend you didn't see this one on another blog post first.

This iconic shade being the first lipstick listed probably comes as a shocker to no one since I already have an entire post dedicated to it, but after trying it, I totally see why the lipstick might have been Audrey Hepburn's lipstick of choice. The more natural pink shade is perfect with running day to day errands but has enough color to make your lips pop. The crème base also allows for just a hint of shine. Just like Audrey, wearing this makes you look refined and elegant.

What I'm Wearing It With: While, I'm sure you would expect me to channel my inner Holly Golightly and say little black dress, I would actually wear it with girly pieces. I would choose something like a floral corset, jeans, and embellished heels.

Colourpop Crème Lux Lipstick in Dreamhouse

Also pretend you haven't seen this one before on the blog either.

For my skin tone, this lipstick is really the most natural shade. It's my go-to not wearing lipstick, lipstick! I truly wear it just about everywhere. I like to use the pencil that came in the lipstick kit to make my lips look a bit fuller. The crème base also makes my lips look smooth and soft. When putting this one on, I feel my natural beauty is shining through.

What I'm Wearing It With: While I can and do wear it with just about any outfit, I would wear it with an aqua dress and nude heels or an aqua swimsuit. I mean it is from the Malibu Barbie collection.

Maybelline Super Stay Mate Ink in Lover

Confession: This is the only original photo in this post.

If I'm going to choose a darker, vampy lipstick, it's going to last all day. All Maybelline Super Stay Matte Ink lipsticks last for about 16 hours, so I don't have to worry about this color smearing or rubbing off. I love it for days when I know I want a bold color that will last. Since I don't always prefer matte, I often pair this one with a light or clear gloss just to give it some shine.

What I'm wearing It With: This darker dusty rose shade looks great with darker tones. I would pair it with a gray one shoulder bodysuit, army green pants, and a black heel.

Chanel Rouge Allure in 99 Pirate

Okay, yes, this one was on Instagram too.

We all know I love a bold red! Especially, a deep blue-red one. Since the mask mandate has been lifted, this shade has been in constant rotation. It instantly makes any outfit look and feel more expensive. This shade, of course, is not for casual wear. I like to wear it with my chicer fits to add just a bit of edge.

What I'm Wearing It With: Anything black, white and chic. After all, I want this red to pop!

Rouge Dior 999

Yes, this one was also on Instagram.

This fashionable shade has become my go-to red. I love knowing that I'm wearing a bit of history when I put it on. I truly feel like I could walk a Christian Dior runway. I also love that the texture allows the lips to look soft and adds a hint of shine. I truly wear this lipstick with just about everything because I always feel like a 10/10 when I have it on. Even if I'm in sweats.

What I'm Wearing It With: Anything and Everything. To be specific though, a sleek and chic red two-piece set.

I love the way lipstick can complete any outfit. I also love the way it can transform your look, allowing you to feel just a bit more fashion forward and confident. More than anything, I love the sense of normalcy that it now represents. I had truly missed rocking the perfect lip color to go with each outfit, and how a bold lip would make me feel, so I'm glad we can get back to wearing lipstick again, and, more importantly, that we now are getting live life again.

XOXO,

Kristin
